All I want today is for my pants to be loose on me.

dinah34 Sunday, January 28, 2007

This week I maitained. Bah.

The first time I stepped on the scale It said one pound heavier then last week. I was wearing a big heavy hoodie and quickly took it off and weighed myself again. Then it said 256.2. I'm going with the lower weight.

I can really tell that I didn't exercise this week. This week my one goal is to exercise 3 times for at least 20 minutes.

Last night I went to a social. It was my cousins social. Did I want to go? Not really. Did my family want to go? Not really. Did anybody really want to go? Probably not. Did everyone get really drunk and end up dancing to cheezy music (Ice Ice Baby & save a horse Ride a Cowboy)? Pretty much.

I drank too much and ate too much of the crappy lunch they serve (bread and sandwich meat--which actually looked like pseudo meat--pickles and chicken fingers) and ate way too much of the chips and pretzels they had on the table. Boo on me.

Apparently I forgot to post this...I wrote it days ago...

This is what I've decided on.

3 pounds -- Henna Tattoo
5 pounds -- Buy a Head band
8 pounds -- Buy the newest issue of 'Crochet'
10 pounds -- Get a manicure
12 pounds -- Get a Henna Tatto
15 pounds -- Get Hair Dyed
18 pounds -- Buy a book
20 pounds -- Buy new pants
23 pounds -- Get a pedicure
25 pounds -- Buy new fancy bra from The Bra bar
28 pounds -- Buy a new work out DVD
30 pounds -- Buy a new shirt
33 pounds -- Get a Henna tattoo
35 pounds -- Get a manicure

50 pounds -- Of course is the ultimate day at the spa.

I'm still looking for ideas for rewards so if anybody knows of any good ones let me know.

Damn, this is harder then it looks. I'm pretty much an open book so thinking of things that nobody knows about are tough.

1. I have a half sister. She lives in Kenora and I first found about her when I was 19. She is married and has 3 kids. She's also Mennonite--Strict Mennonite (no smoking, no drinking, no swearing, no dancing, no fun). I have nothing in common with her, her husband or any of her 3 children. We spend every major holiday together and secretly I call them "The Mennonites" and drink heavily after their holiday visits.

2. My favorite alcholohic drink is Miller Genuine Draft and Clamato Juice.

3. I have a stuffed animal that I still sleep with when I'm sick. He's Pink Dog and I've had him since birth. He's my friend. :P

4. I had my rebellious stage when I was 25. It was great fun to do it when a) I could afford to drink and party and b) was old enough to enjoy it.

5. It's my cousins social on Friday and I don't want to go.

I can't think of 5 people to tag, so I'm ending the game here. I suck big time and you can give me a hard time--I can take it.

Fifteen and a half points. 15.5.

That's what a Sausage n Egger from A&W are. That combined with the Hashbrown I also had were 19.5 points. Ugh. How gross is that?

I ate over half my points in 5 minutes. Double ugh.

I felt sick all day and then felt disgustingly & horribly sick all afternoon. So much so that I left work early and came home.

aaah...the beauty of hummus.

3 tablespoons for 2 points. Mmmmmmm. We had roasted garlic hummus with Canapes for supper tonight (7 canapes for 1 point).

It was super de duper yummy. I figure I probably ate about 14 points worth of hu

On the non-food side of life we bought a futon today. Our couch is on it's last leg, and Steve's parents are going to need something to sleep on when they're visiting so we thought a futon would be the best option. We picked the one in the picture.
mmus and canapes.

We picked this futon with a nice deep purple print called Anjou as the cover. We're picking up the frame tomorrow and the cover should here in a week. I'm tres excited.

Just a few noteworthy things this week.

1. I journalled. I wrote down what I ate. I didn't stay in my points one day this week, but I wrote down what I ate.

2. I tried to exercise. I used the treadmill twice. Right at the end of my last workout the treadmill went into uber fast mode and I almost fell on my face. I was able to pull out the safety magnent thingy and it stopped. Now it says E1 and won't work. my Dad is going to take a look at it next week sometime. I hope he can fix it, it was a good freebie.
In the meantime I'm going to have to do some other exercise. I've my WATP and Biggest Loser DVDs that I haven't done in ages. I better dig them up.

3. Today we went to Mongo's. www.mongosgrill.com
It's a fun and yummy place once you get a few combinations down. The only problem is it's not very baby friendly b/c you have to go up and get your food and watch it being cooked which invariably means we eat in shifts. It's not bad if you go with a group or another couple, but kinda lame if it's just me and Steve.

My favorite combination is: mushrooms, a few pieces of zuchinni, a bit of carrot, bean sprouts, pineapple, a pile of chicken & beef (it's sliced sooooo thin), some fat noodles, sweet chili thai sauce, spicy peanut sauce, a bit of sesame oil and soya sauce. Yum, yum. 2 bowls of that and I'm stuffed.

4. I haven't had fries in 3 weeks, since we first weighed in. It feels good. I don't even miss them.

5. I'm working on my rewards list. I'm going to post it tomorrow.

Down 3 pounds!

I'm so stoked right now.

Who's winning you ask?

Not me, that's for sure. My friend lost 4.3 pounds to my .4 pounds. Really though, I'm just happy to have lost last week. I pigged out Saturday night and I drank about 6 drinks.

I've been trying to think of rewards that I can use to keep myself motivated in the CWLE & beyond.

This is what I've come up with so far:

5 pounds -- get a henna tattoo
10 pounds -- manicure (I'm thinking gel nails with some cool airbrushing)
15 pounds -- dye hair
20 pounds -- buy new pants
25 pounds -- buy new fancy bra from the Bra Bar

Any ideas for other rewards? I'm also still thinking about having in between mini-rewards like 7 pounds, 12 pounds, etc? Comments?

dinah34 Tuesday, January 16, 2007

Okay, I've been thinking. I've a confession to make.

I eat over my points...a lot. There's rarely a day that I eat right on target. Sometimes it's just 2 or 3 points over, somedays it's 20 points over (like last night).

Do you guys eat over? How many times a week do you go over? Are your flex points gone by day 2?

Is this compulsive eating? I'm not even hungry and I eat. I don't even know why I eat. Somedays I don't even know what I'm doing food wise, I'm just shovelling it in.

dinah34 Sunday, January 14, 2007

Today I weighed 259.6. Down .4

At least it went down. Might have had something to do with the 6 drinks and pizza I had last night.

dinah34 Saturday, January 13, 2007

Anne said I was brave to post the before pictures of myself. I don't really think it was all that brave.

Notice I cut my head off. That's the worst part. Double chin and all.

I'm coming to the end of this first week of the CWLE. I didn't do that well. But I didn't do that bad either (comparitively speaking).

I'm going to post some of the positives of this week.

Here goes....

**I limited myself to 2 hershey's kisses per day. Work is abounding with Hershey's kisses and the box that holds them is of course on my desk...inches away from my mouth. 2 a day is miraculous...almost.

**I used the treadmill 3 times this week. One night I even ran for 5 minutes in total. That is sooo awesome for me!!!!

**Last night instead of ordering in pizza or KFC we went to Safeway and got subs (I got the 'Hail Ceasear Sub' and a cesear salad. Not completely WW friendly, but not pizza, right?

**I ate lunch at work 4 days this past week. & when I did go out for food I went to Safeway and got a sub and soup(not BK or McDicks). Better choices.

**Tonight is my first drink of the week. This is good for me. Over the holidays I got into the habit of having a drink or two almost every day. Eek.

That's all I can think of right now. Thanks for listening & wish me luck for tomorrow!

I'm just going to throw the number out there.

260

dinah34

Last Night I had the fabled Last Supper. You know the one you have before you go on THE DIET. There was pizza, breadsticks, ceaser salad, chips, vodka and pepsi. Now this morning, 8 hours later, I feel ill. I'm bloated, I feel gross, I've got heartburn, diarrhea, general uckiness, short tempered and gross flatulence. Ugh.

This is really motivating me for the CWLE, let me tell you. I do not want to voluntarily feel like this again.

I'm sure I'll be popping back in today or tomorrow with the results of the dreaded weigh-in. Gulp.

dinah34 Friday, January 5, 2007

I'm scared to weigh myself on Sunday.

I'm scared to do it. I know I've gained a shitload of weight since I fell of the bandwagon in June. I'm sitting here typing right now and my shirt is riding up and my belly is getting in the way of my arms. That's how bad it's gotten.

I'm terrified.

dinah34 Wednesday, January 3, 2007

Me and my IRL friend are going to do the 2007 Carrandrea Weight Loss Extravaganza.

What is this CWLE you ask? This is it in a nutshell:

We are both poor young women wanting to lose weight and be healthier. We have had success with Weight Watchers in the past but neither of us can afford to attend the meetings which is what we think motivated us the most.

We are going to meet once a week and instead of paying WW 12 of our hard earned dollars we are going to put 5 dollars each into a pool and whoever has lost the most weight at the end of 10 weeks gets the moolah. Which if I've calculated right is 100 bucks. A nice little sum of money.

Don't tell her, but I'm gonna win that money. Buwahahahahaha.

I've got the motivation. I've got the treadmill. I've the culinary talents. I've got the will. & I've even got a Hitched girl at my back helping me along!

I'm gonna do it.

We're weighing in on Sunday for the first time. She's got a kickass scale.

dinah34 Tuesday, January 2, 2007

I can do this.

Today I've done 15 minutes on the treadmill. I can do this. I can do this.
