We need a new vacuum. But we don't want to spend a fortune on one but we want it to work like we did.

We have been to Wal-Mart and Superstore and looked at the vacuums, but really have no idea what to get. We know that we cannot spend more then 100 dollars before taxes and really the cheaper the better (but it still has to work good). We also know that it HAS to be bagless and not need further purchases of silly attachments/filters/gadgets/or gizmos.

What kind of vacuum do you have? What brand do you recommend? What do we need to know?

PS. Does anyone else think the way vacuum is spelled is completely ridiculous?
