Quite a while ago I blogged about 'fusing plastic' to make a durable and upcycled material that you can sew to make cool and funky bags.

I tried to do this and all I want to say is that it was a BIG BUST. I couldn't get the right temperature on the iron I guess and I was either melting the plastic to the parchment paper or it was bubbling or it just wasn't sticking. In about 3 hours I think I got 1 5*7 piece of 'material' that I could have used to sew with.

In the end I threw my arms up in the air and declared this was not the craft for me. *sigh* It's a shame because it does really look like a hella cool thing to do.
